"He walked into the speakeasy, straight to the bar & ordered a drink. As he looks to his right, the off duty constable stands there, spinning a Put & Take. The constable challenges him, as he throws down a handful of coins. The town is full of corruption."

During the prohibition, Put & Takes were used as a form of entertainment, where each person would contribute to the pot, and take turns spinning the Put & Take until the pot was empty of coins.

Materials available are either 925 Sterling Silver.

**Please note - not all pieces in our collection are available for immediate dispatch. All of our jewellery is hand made and thus can take some time to produce depending on the size and design of the piece. Products may take 4-6 weeks to arrive, if the piece/size you order isn't in stock.

"The streets were empty and dark. A faint light peaked from a crack in the door, and a faint hum of music came from within. A gentle knock, and the shutter on the peephole slid back. He muttered something, the door opened, the party was in full swing."

A Blind Pig is another name for these bars, also known as “Speakeasies”. Owners would often sell tickets to an event to see blind pigs or other animals, allowing them to serve free liquor to those who visited.

This hard enamel pin badge comes on a Volstead card backer.

Ring Sizer

Ring Sizer

Regular price £5.00 - FREE SHIPPING
/
Tax included.

If you're unsure of your ring size, this what you need. Shipped for free.

Loop the sizer around your finger, thread it through the gap, like a belt and adjust to fit.

An ideal fit will feel comfortable and slide over the knuckle with a little force and effort. It's important it doesn't slide over the knuckle too easily, as this will mean the ring slides off and you could lose it (pinky fingers are notorious for this).

We measure our rings in the standard US sizes, however the Ring Sizer measures in Euro sizes. Check our conversion chart to get your ideal size.

Andrew Volstead is the man behind the Volstead Act in which the production, manufacture and distribution of alcohol was prohibited in the early 1920’s. We pay homage to the man as his act started the boom of speakeasies in the USA. Creating under ground bars run by outlaws giving the lawless people a place to drink, gamble and cause chaos! Thats our sort of place.

The coin is detailed with Andrew Volstead’s face on the front and the Volstead V detailed on the back.

Materials available are either 925 Sterling Silver.
